Our Director of Translation

Jody Shafran grew up in Japan and in the US with her Japanese mother and American father. After earning a BA in Spanish and Japanese in New York and Madrid, she taught both English and Spanish as a second language in Japan before taking a position translating, proofreading and copywriting for a Japanese pharmaceutical company. A Master’s from INALCO completed her academic career and brought her to Make Up For Ever (LVMH Group) where she was Operational Marketing Manager for eight years prior to founding VOVF.

Our Director of Sales

Veng Lo is ethnic Chinese and was born in Cambodia. He is fluent in French and Chinese and also speaks English and Japanese. He started his career as a Key Account Sales Executive at IBM. An economics degree and a Master’s in Asian Business brought him to Japan for two years, where he wrote studies on the Japanese market for the PEE in Osaka. Eight years later, he joined forces with Jody Shafran to found VOVF.
